Terms
Short, because Miria is free and there is nothing to argue about. Using it means agreeing to what follows.
What this is
A free service, made by one person, offered as it is. There is no company behind it, no paid tier, no promise that it will be available at any particular moment, and no liability for anything you lose by relying on it — including a birthday.
What is yours
Your lists and everything you write in them stay yours. Miria stores them to show them to the people you share the link with, and does nothing else with them. Links you paste are your responsibility: Miria reads a shop page to fill in a name and a price, and does not check what is on the other end.
The surprise is a promise, not a safe
Miria is built so that an owner sees how many gifts are reserved and never which ones. That is real, and enforced on the server. It is not a security guarantee against a determined person: anybody holding a share link can see the list, and an owner who opens their own link signed out and joins as a guest will see the reservations. Do not use Miria for anything that must stay secret in a serious way.
Chip in is a tracker
A pool records what people promise to contribute. Miria does not collect, hold, transfer or verify money. Send money directly to the person organising the gift, and agree payment details with them. A displayed pledge is not proof that anybody paid.
What is asked of you
Do not use Miria to harass anyone, to publish anything illegal, or to hammer it with scripts. Content or accounts that do can be removed — by preference after an email, immediately if the law requires it.
It may change or stop
Features may change and the service may end. If it ends, notice will go to the email addresses of people who have lists, with time to ask for a copy of what is stored.
Ukrainian law applies. Anything else: ialacritydev@gmail.com.
